1. Be Ready


Important Alberta Government Guidelines:

  • There is no cap on capacity for restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars, as long as there is a two metre distance or appropriate barriers between dining parties.

  • Dining parties may be up to 6 patrons; no more than 6 individuals are allowed to sit at larger tables.

  • Aisles should be wide enough to allow room for people to maintain physical distancing. Consider using one-way traffic flow to help maintain distancing.

  • Remove table condiments and other frequently touched items (for example, salt and pepper shakers, ketchup, hot sauce).

  • Facilities are open for dining, delivery and take out only.

  • At this time, dancing on dance floors, karaoke and other singing, shisha, hookah and water pipes are not permitted.

Cornerstones provide an outline for making decisions when delivering your products and services. They are derived from your brand, more specifically, from your values.


3. Develop Strong Touch Points


A touch point is any interaction you have with your customer. It is anything they see, hear and touch from your business. This could be your advertising, website, phone calls, or all the things they come into contact with when physically at your business.


Take the time to go through your customer touch points. Businesses have thousands of touch points. They are in reality, limitless.


The more intentional you are about your touch points and the more you define, the better you can set yourself up for offering an amazing customer experience.
